Graduate Student Alejandra Osejo Varona published the article "Peasant Struggles for an Inclusive Future in the Colombian High Mountains" that shares some of her research focused on several communities that have lived in the Colombian High Mountains along the Magdelena River for generations and are being forced to leave the area or to remain with an uncertain future as a result of the government's declaration for protected land as well as areas that coincide with carbon credits.
